In this 1968 recording, the late German pianist and harpsichordist Edith Picht-Axenfeld (1914-2001) performs (on a Martin Scholtz harpsichord) variations 10, 11 and 12 from Bach's Goldberg Variations, BWV 988. I created this video from the LP shown above, issued on the Musical Heritage Society label, serial number MHS 790. With the exception of an image of JS Bach near the close of the performance, all images used in this video are drawn from the LP label and jacket.
